Getting ready for Affiliate Summit West 2009
Back in August 2008, after joining R3R as a junior associate, I attended my first Affiliate Summit East Conference in Boston. I left Boston with more internet marketing knowledge than I arrived with, so I am looking forward to attending Affiliate Summit West this week and soaking up more information (although, I am a little less excited about the 6:30a.m. flight tomorrow morning).
This event in Las Vegas will be my second affiliate marketing conference, so I won’t be feeling like such a noob‘ this time around. Since Boston, I have been following a couple of the presenters on Twitter, or on their respective blogs, and it’s nice to be that much more familiar with some of the big players in the internet & affiliate marketing arena. I feel like I know more people that will be attending, even though I have never met them in person – I have just been following their tweets for the last five months.
It will be interesting to see if my perspective has changed as I attend this conference…hopefully I will find it just as fulfilling as my first. We will keep you posted with all the latest and greatest trends in the affiliate/internet marketing industry while we are there, and upon our return as well.
